Challenge: Leaders had heard about AI for two years but had no shared plan for it.
What we did: Two talks in one week on building teams that keep learning: a roadshow session on July 22 and the conference keynote on July 23.
Outcome: 440 leaders reached: 249 in person and 191 online.

Challenge: Students are entering a job market where entry-level work is the first to change.
What we did: Joseph Baek led a learning session on generative AI, responsible use and digital citizenship.
Outcome: The start of the GenAI Citizenship track for students and a coordination meeting on senior-high micro-credentials.

Rizal Technological UniversitySeptember 2025

Challenge: The university wanted AI in its teaching and research, with its faculty trained to use it.
What we did: We ran the "AI Tayo!" seminar on September 3, agreed on four initiatives on September 4, and trained faculty on the Boni and Pasig campuses in GenAI Citizenship on September 24.
Outcome: Faculty training, student competitions, micro-credentials and an AI hub agreed as one program of work.

DepEd Schools

Department of EducationAugust 2025

Challenge: Teachers across the country had no vetted starting point for generative AI.
What we did: We ran the GenAI Citizenship Course for educators: self-paced modules, a live session, and a capstone on designing AI-supported lessons.
Outcome: Listed in DepEd Advisory No. 147, s. 2025.

Rizal Technological University and DepEd-MakatiDecember 2024

Challenge: Bringing generative AI to Filipino youth through the public school system.
What we did: We signed a memorandum of understanding with RTU and the DepEd-Makati schools division at Nemesio Yabut Elementary School.
Outcome: A three-way program for generative AI education for Filipino youth.

Rizal Technological UniversityAugust 2024

Challenge: The university wanted an industry partner that could provide a platform as well as a syllabus.
What we did: We signed an MoU covering internships, courses, seminars, bootcamps, micro-credentials and faculty development.
Outcome: The foundation for the programs that followed in 2025.

Sacramento Individuals

Sacramento-area communities2023-2024

Challenge: Adults in under-connected Sacramento neighborhoods lacked access to basic digital services.
What we did: We ran a grant-funded program of eight modules and eight hours of active learning, from basic computer skills to an introduction to generative AI.
Outcome: Adult learners in the approved communities completed the program.

Three California school districts2023

Challenge: Students used technology every day but did not build any.
What we did: We ran project-based programs at multiple school sites in three districts. Students built working apps with no-code and generative AI tools.
Outcome: Students built working apps, and teachers said the tools changed how they saw future careers.

Buzzy Companies

BuzzySeptember 2023

Challenge: Students needed a way to build real apps without learning to code first.
What we did: We partnered with Buzzy to bring no-code, AI-assisted app creation into K-12 classrooms.
Outcome: A published partnership and the tools used in our enrichment programs.
